Description | Danish Association of State-Authorized Translators and Interpreters in Danish: Dansk Translatrforbund is a professional society formed in 1990. Association members are translators and interpreters, mostly self-employed, who are certified by the Danish state and who indicate their membership in the Association by writing the letters "MDT" after their name. DT has adopted a code of ethics which each DT member must follow. Moreover, members are by law required to treat their relationships with clients as confidential, as they must also do with anything they may learn in the course of their work. Each member of DT is under an obligation to keep his/her professional knowledge and proficiencies up to date. To help contribute to this process, DT regularly holds courses on relevant subjects which are also open to non-members. In addition to working to maintain a high professional standard among its members, DT also represents its members in dealings with the Danish and EU authorities. |
