Wow, a lot of people in denial.
AI won't put everyone out of work.
However, it will put put anyone with an office job who doesn't know how to use AI out of work, and pretty quickly too. | | | | | Yes, everything | Jan 6, 2025 |
In my view, everything will be affected by AI, but that's not a negative thing.
For example, all current online traffic is affected by AI. Therefore, works related to advertising and SEO are affected by AI now at all role levels.
We'll just have to learn how to include AI in the way we work or do business. As it happened before when other technologies (such as personal computers, the Internet, and mobile phones) emerged.

What I don't understand is the implicit 'fear' towards AI. ▲ Collapse

Leadership and management roles will not be replaced, but they will obviously affected. Indeed, they are already being affected.
Also, do you truly believe that managers are neither useful nor productive? | | | | Daryo Local time: 02:07 Sérvio para Inglês + ... | Just asking for a friend ... | Jan 7, 2025 |

Is drinking too much AI Kool-Aid also a form of denial? | | | | | So good to be in denial | Jan 7, 2025 |
One thing I notice though is that while my posts expressing doubt about the almighty nature of AI do contain examples to show my point, most of 'em posts from AI advocates read something like "You just don't know how to use it. Learn how to use it and be replaced." But hey. I'm old-school. I want examples of how managers and leaders will affected—especially while trying to manage and lead someone like me

So far, only 18.7% of respondents have said that these roles won't be affected by AI, while 47.8% have said that they will (split between a bit, a lot and up to a point). So most people are not in denial about AI having an effect.
(I'm now wondering which is more, "a bit" or "up to a point").

I made two web searches:
#1 [leadership AI tools] got me 842,000,000 results > https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=leadership%20AI%20tools. From the first page I read about eight AI tool names intended for leaders from a wide range of leadership tasks: ChatGPT, Grammarly, Prezent, Bunch, Leaps, Copy.ai, Butterfly.ai, and Glassix.
#2 [management AI tools] got me 1,880,000,000 results > https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=management%20AI%20tools. Google SERP gives me a list of 21 AI tools names for project managers from a wide range of management tasks. For brainstorming: Asana, Notion, Taskade, Microsoft Project, Jira, Ayanza, and Forecast. For forecasting: ClickUp, Monday.com, Basecamp, Motion, and Grammarly. For visualizing progress: Trello, Wrike, ChatGPT, AiChatbot, Automate Tasks, Fireflies, and Otter.ai.
Now, we only need asking any project manager or leader if and how they use any of these AI tools to get down-to-earth examples. | | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Poll: Do you believe leadership and management roles will be affected by AI? | TM-Town | Manage your TMs and Terms ... and boost your translation business
