بصراحة أنا محبطة جدا من أن هذه الترجمة هي التي فازت بالجائزة. أنا لم أشارك في المسابقة، ولكني قمت بالتصويت فيها. أزعم أني أستطيع أن أتذوق الترجمة الجيدة، وأن الأسس التي وضعت للتصويت كانت عادلة، ولكن ما هذه الترجمة التي فازت بالجائزة؟؟ لقد أضاع المترجم فيها كل معاني السخرية ا�... See more
بصراحة أنا محبطة جدا من أن هذه الترجمة هي التي فازت بالجائزة. أنا لم أشارك في المسابقة، ولكني قمت بالتصويت فيها. أزعم أني أستطيع أن أتذوق الترجمة الجيدة، وأن الأسس التي وضعت للتصويت كانت عادلة، ولكن ما هذه الترجمة التي فازت بالجائزة؟؟ لقد أضاع المترجم فيها كل معاني السخرية التي حملها كاتب النص الأصلي للقاريء، وتركتها مجرد حكم ومواعظ خالية من أي روح! مثلا
"I'm not going to buy my kids an encyclopedia. Let them walk to school like I did."
كيف تكون أفضل ترجمة لهذا النص الهزلي من الدرجة الأولى هي:
"لن اعلم أبنائي كل نواحي الحياة، لكني سأدعهم يخوضون بدروب الحياة فهي كفيلة بتعليمهم كما علمتني."؟؟
كاتب النص الأصلي قصد أن يلعب دور الجاهل ولكن بخفة ظل.. الكاتب لعب دور الأحمق وتعمد التصنع بجهل المصطلحات الكبيرة، ، من المفترض أن من يقرأ هذه الجملة يضحك أولا، ثم يفكر في معناها. الكاتب يرسم صورة شخص يعتقد أن الـ
"encyclopedia"
هي وسيلة مواصلات.. فعندما أقرأ هذه الجملة، من المفترض أن أضحك.. أين الترجمة من كل هذا؟؟؟ حولتها إلأى موعظة مباشرة وباردة، وأضاعت روح الفكاهة الأدبية، وليس فقط في هذا المثال، بل في كل الجمل الباقية.. أشعر بالإحباط لفوز هذه الترجمة،، مع كامل احترامي وتقديري للمترجم الفائز.
